Brent Kincaid is an artist and  writer. He has been working as a freelance artist all his life, and has been writing poems, songs and some short plays since he was a teen. But, nearing and into retirement, he got his poetry mojo working to some considerable acclaim. He was published in The Haight Ashbury Journal before its demise (after decades of leading the pack in avant guarde journalism) and lately is a contributing writer to The Blue Route, a progressive zine.

An important thing to know here is the Brent has another site with over five hundred poems on it. You can find it at http://poetbutknowit.blogspot.com. However the wordpress site seems to hit a larger, more appreciative audience. Soon, Kincaid plans to start a .com website.

      Hey, Digital,

I do take it as a compliment. And raw might well be my legal middle name if I were into such gimmickry. I lay it out there for folks to take it or leave it. I spent too much time reading poets that hid their truth behind pretty, or longwinded words. I found myself delighted to read and be around poets who spoke their minds and let us hear what they were thinking. Poetry is a smorgasbord. Take what you want and leave the rest.

I appreciate your feedback, and yes. I will watch the clip.

    Hello Brian,

My name is Karen Grant, and I am the editor of the Canadian naturist magazine Going Natural/au Naturel. This magazine is published by the Federation of Canadian Naturists. I found your poem, “I Love To Be Naked”, and I like it very much! Would you be amenable to having it published in the spring edition of our magazine?

Thank you for your time! Your poetry goes straight to the heart of matters.

    Karen Grant
