THE BEADS ARE READ
The city has a hum
That renders some dumb
To the tricks and games
Played by famous names
And incongruous congressmen
Who see themselves as a deputation
To secretly bugger our fine nation
And plunge us into deprivation.
Denigration seems to be method.
Like meth-heads they openly lie
So you can bid your rights goodbye
Because they are being paid well
To put us on a path laid well
Before many of us were born.
Horning in on our religious rights
And creating distracting fights
With people who did us no wrong
We blindly play along
And watch from the sidelines.
We ignore the sidelines
And the rules of decency
As if they were created recently
By fools instead of statesmen
We ridicule their statements
And oppress our brothers
As if there were no mothers
Among them, no sons.
And thus the decimation
Of a once proud fee nation
Begins and runs riot
Because we all keep quiet.
